      • Introduction

        Gemanafushi School as a community school was founded on 30th June 1980. Until August 2005 it was known as “Gemanafushi Makthab”. In the year 2005, School’s name has changed to the present name, ”Gemanafushi School” and the ownership has change to the government. 

        Over the past few years Gemanafushi School has been steadfastly progressing in implementing pioneering extracurricular activities making it one of the leading schools in Gaaf Alif Atoll. We have also been placed on national records for our achievements in IGCSE/GCE examinations in recent years.

        We, Gemanafushi School, is committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment in which all learners can develop their intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and creative potential in preparation for lifelong learning and success in line with the principles of Islam.

        Philosophy:

        The well-being and education of our children are vital to the future of our society. Every individual has a contribution to make to society and has a responsibility to do so. The quality of our school directly affects the quality of our community. As Muslims our Nation upholds Islamic values and traditions. Self-discipline and challenging learning experiences are necessary for students to reach their potential. Learning is a life-long process. People are our "most important resources. Each individual has worth and deserves respect. Everyone shares the responsibility for educating our students. Parents have the responsibility to be meaningfully involved in their child's education.
